Incentive programs change often. Here is a plain-language summary of where things stand for home charger installs in South Florida, so you can plan your project with realistic expectations.
Federal
Federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit
According to the IRS, this credit does not apply to charging equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. Before that date it was limited to eligible census tracts and capped for individuals.

Florida & utilities
Check your utility and local programs.
Florida does not currently offer a statewide rebate for home EV chargers. Utilities and local governments sometimes run their own programs, and the terms vary widely.
